About Open Mic

Open Mic is a place where founders introduce their startups in their own voice - 60 seconds each.

What you'll find

A lineup of short voice introductions. Every entry has a product name, the founder who made the recording, a category (one of 15) and a link to the product's website. You can listen on the lineup, or open an entry's own page to play it, see its rank and copy a link to share.

How it is ordered

Approved sponsored entries rank by amount, and the earlier entry wins a tie. Free entries follow in the order the site team has configured. Nothing here is decided by votes or likes. The exact rules are on How it works.

Finding a voice

The home page shows the top of the lineup. The full lineup lists every approved voice, a page at a time. Search matches the product name, the founder, the category and the website, and you can narrow either list to one of the 15 categories.

Add your own

Use Add your voice on the home page. New entries are reviewed before they appear. The rules list what the form accepts.
